The US Surgeon General declared social isolation and loneliness a national health epidemic.  Samaritan is leading South Jersey’s efforts to address the issue.  In addition to our Friendly Visitor and Friendly Caller programs, an integral part of that work is our innovative use of companion pets.  These robotic cats and dogs have already made a real impact in the lives of seniors with dementia and memory impairment, providing comfort and companionship, while reducing stress and agitation; improving the quality of life for these patients, as well as their families and caregivers.  Click HERE to learn more about this uplifting and compassionate new program.
