Volunteer at Samaritan Hospice

Whatever your time availability or your special interests, Samaritan welcomes your interest in becoming a volunteer: For Adult Volunteers.  For Teen Volunteers.

Hospice Volunteer Training

Orientation Sessions & Times

Samaritan holds orientation sessions to provide an overview of the hospice philosophy and detailed information about volunteer opportunities at Samaritan.

Registration is required at least two weeks before orientation session.

Held Monthly on the 3rd Wednesdays:

  • Daytime Session will be in person at the Samaritan Mount Laurel Office on the 3rd Wednesdays from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
  • Evening Session will be virtual on the 3rd Wednesdays from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
  • Please note that these dates will vary for holidays

Registration is required two weeks before orientation session.

Volunteering at Samaritan

For Teen Volunteers 

You must be at least 18 years of age to visit patients and families. All those interested in volunteering for Samaritan must wait at least one year after experiencing a significant loss of a family member or close friend before attending our training sessions.

Samaritan’s service area includes Burlington, Camden, Gloucester, Mercer, and Atlantic counties.
