Samaritan’s 2024 Celebration of Life Gala Raises Record-Breaking $275,000



Annual Event Honored Jack and Barbara Tarditi, Kyle Ruffin and Marcum LLP for their Continued Support of Samaritan’s Mission

Mount Laurel, NJSamaritan recently held its annual Celebration of Life Gala, presented by Holman Enterprises, at the DoubleTree by Hilton in Cherry Hill (formerly Crowne Plaza). A record-breaking $275,000 was raised in support of the not-for-profit’s life-enhancing services, which benefit seriously ill patients and their families, as well as those grieving a loss, throughout Atlantic, Burlington, Camden, Gloucester and Mercer counties.

Emceed by Meteorologist Kathy Orr of FOX 29 News, this year’s Gala recognized Jack and Barbara Tarditi of Haddonfield, Kyle Ruffin of Hainesport and Marcum LLP of Marlton as the organization’s Celebration of Life Honorees.

“Our annual Celebration of Life Gala allows us to continue providing comprehensive care for the people of South Jersey,” said Phillip W. Heath, president and CEO of Samaritan. “The kindness and generosity of our sponsors – including presenting sponsor Holman Enterprises – as well as members of our dedicated Board of Trustees, Gala Committee and chairs Mindy Holman, Frank Beideman and Theresa Savage, staff and volunteers have made a profound impact on our greater community and truly embody the Samaritan Difference.”

This year’s Gala included dinner, live music by Masquerade, dancing, an Online Auction with more than 130 items to bid on that raised over $19,000, and the drawing of two winning tickets for Samaritan’s annual Delightful Dining raffle – Mark Zimmerman and Brittany Mancine were the lucky recipients of twelve $100 dining gift certificates, valued at a total of $1,200.
