Samaritan's hospice care embraces both patient and family. Prior to and following the death of a significant person in their lives, families receive assistance through the grieving process by Samaritan's bereavement counselors as part of their covered hospice benefit.

For Community Members

Samaritan's licensed bereavement counselors offer affordable therapeutic sessions for those who have experienced a significant loss in their lives. These services are available on both an individual and family basis, for children or adults.

South NJ grief counseling services are open to anyone in the community coping with a trauma or loss even if they did not use Samaritan's hospice or transitional services. Samaritan charges a modest fee, supplemented by donations, to assure that these community services are available to everyone who seeks them out. The Center offers a discounted counseling rate to seniors, emergency response personnel and veterans.
