Hospice Massage Therapy
Pain, tension and anxiety often settle into the tissues of the body causing discomfort. Using a sequence of therapeutic strokes, massage therapy is used to comfort hospice patients on our program by reducing stress, anxiety, and pain. Each massage therapy visit is tailored to the needs of the patient at the time of the visit.
Therapeutic massage can provide comfort for the following patient concerns:
- To ease tension, stiffness and pain
- To reduce restlessness and anxiety
- To promote mind-body connection
- To increase circulation
- To promote better sleep patterns
- To increase sense of well-being
- To help reduce the discomfort of edema
